The Supreme Court has declared Sheriff Oborevwori as governorship candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party in Deta State.
Recall that David Edevbie had on September 8, 2022, approached the apex court to challenge the August 29, 2022, judgement of the Court of Appeal, Abuja, which declared Oborevwori as the authentic PDP governorship candidate against the judgement of the Federal High Court, Abuja Division delivered by Taiwo O. Taiwo, on July 7, 2022.
In their ruling, a 5-member panel of the Supreme Court presided over by Justice Amina Augie, today Friday upheld the judgement of the Appeal Court.
According to the Supreme Court judgement, Appellant action is premature section 29(5) resolved against Edevbie.
